Sadharan Launcher — Privacy Policy
Sadharan Launcher is a simple, text-only home screen for Android, made by Sadharan ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with information on your phone.
In short: Sadharan Launcher collects nothing. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no crash reporting, and its own code never connects to the internet. Everything it knows about you stays on your phone. The only exception is purchasing premium, which Google Play handles, as described below.
What the app uses, and why
All of the following is used on your phone only. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else.
- Your list of installed apps. A launcher has to show and open your apps. The app reads their names (never what's inside them) to list them, search them and open them. This includes apps in a work profile, if you have one.
- Your settings. Favorites, custom app names, hidden apps, theme, text size and similar choices are saved in the app's private storage.
- A wallpaper you choose (optional). If you pick an image as the home screen background, the app receives only that one image through Android's photo picker, and saves a copy sized to your screen in its private storage. It doesn't see your other photos.
When something leaves the app
These happen only when you ask for them, and go through other apps you choose:
- Web search. If nothing matches your search, you can search the web instead. The text you typed is passed to your phone's search or browser app, which handles it under its own privacy policy. The launcher doesn't keep it.
- Send feedback. This opens your email app with our address, a subject line and the app and Android versions filled in. Nothing is sent until you press send in your email app. We use the emails we receive only to reply and to improve the app, and don't share them.
- Rate the app and App info open the Play Store and Android Settings.
Purchases
Premium is a one-time purchase through Google Play. Google handles the payment: we never see your payment details, name or email address. The app only learns from Google Play whether premium has been bought, and remembers that on your phone so premium works offline.
To process purchases, Google Play's billing library, which is part of the app, may send diagnostic information about purchases to Google. This is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.
Permissions

The app also asks Android which apps can be opened from a home screen, and which home apps are installed, so it can list your apps and tell whether it's your default home app.
Backup
If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include the app's settings and your chosen wallpaper in your device backup, so they're restored when you set up a new phone. This is handled by Android and Google under your backup settings, and can be turned off in your phone's settings. We have no access to it.
Keeping and deleting your information
Everything stays on your phone until you remove it. You can reset parts of it in the app (unhide apps, reset names, remove the wallpaper), or delete all of it by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. Feedback emails you've sent us can be deleted on request.
Children
The app isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
